Tips for Adjusting Tension – Bugle Tube Holder
A great starting point is to use the included popsicle stick:
Place the popsicle stick vertically inside the holder.
Insert your bugle tube.
Wrap the Velcro snugly around the tube and stick.
Bugle Tube only needs inserted about 1-1.5 inches past the first time you feel tension.
This helps you set a consistent baseline tension.
Getting the Right Fit:
The best way to insert your Bugle Tube into holder is to twist in and twist out.
Tension should be tight enough that your tube won’t fall out when turned upside down.
Too tight: difficult to insert and remove.
Too loose: risk of losing your tube.
It typically takes a few adjustments (about 4–6 tries) to dial it in perfectly.
Helpful Tips
Depending on your bugle tube brand, the tube cover may shift during use.
→ Wrap 550 cord or shock cord around the cover near the bell end to keep it in place.
We recommend removing any loose cord attached to your bugle tube to prevent interference.
Twist the tube when inserting and removing—it’s the easiest and smoothest method.
Aluminum stop is just an extra precaution. I personally remove it. Small &Medium size Bugle Tube I insert the Bugle tubes from the bottom with the bell side of the Bugle tube facing down.
